Who do we service & Support?

Kaulana Nā Pua serves all youth and young adults ages 5-25 years old. Currently in West and North side of Hawai’i Island. In hopes to expand to other districts through out Hawai’i.

What do we provide?

Kaulana Nā Pua provides Hawaiian values of kuleana (responsibilities), hō’ihi (respect), and foundation through Aloha.

How do we instill Hawaiian Values? 

Kaulana Nā Pua, sets Hawaiian Values through Aloha, by providing a basic foundation of hula, chant and stories weekly.

When Do we provide Services and Workshops? 

Hula classes are 1-2 times a week. With occasional workshops hosted by other artisans and guest on weekends.

We continue to plan programs that will support our children and young adults of West, South & North Side of Big Island.

Where is Kaulana Nā Pua’s Home?

KNP doesn’t have a permanent home at the moment. We’re working on partnering with a community group to host KNP Hālau practice’s, event’s, workshops, one on one services and hula camps.

At the moment we have partnered with a community Church that donates their space once a week to host Hula Classes weekly.

Our Why?

Kaulana Nā Pua’s vision Is to help improve Hawai’i’s Lāhui (Native People), Breaking generational trauma and Mental Health in our youth and young adults. The statistics of suicidal death for ages 15-24 in 2019 in Hawai’i is 15.8%, which is higher than the coutries average of 14.4%.

Why young adults ages 18-25?

Our young adults are in their prime transition in adulthood.
